Dillard Harris Educational Center accepts students, grades 5-12, who have been unsuccessful in both regular education and in the special education classrooms within their public school. The program’s therapeutic approach focuses on meeting the student’s emotional and academic needs. Behavior modification and supportive approaches are utilized in helping students develop the skills necessary to return to their home school. Individual and group therapy are provided to help students understand and overcome the behaviors that have excluded them from the public school setting. An individualized instructional program is offered to students to correct specific academic skills and deficiencies that have contributed to their behavior problems.
