SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICE CENTER

PREVENTIONIST – Develop presentations and provide them to community groups, schools, and community professionals.  Local travel is required. 20 hours per week. (Updated 5/22/17)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in education, social work or a related field
  2. Interest in women’s issues
  3. Forty (40) hours of ICASA approved sexual assault training
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  5. Good computer skills
  6. No physical or mental impairments which would prevent, or render impossible, the performance of the duties of this position
  7. Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of persons served.
  8. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
  9. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential materials
  10. Ability to work flexible hours
  11. Valid Illinois driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance coverage
